Description

Often brightly colored, hummingbirds are fascinating and beautiful birds. Many species flap their wings between 50-80 beats per second, making them a blur to the human eye. But that’s actually slow for a hummingbird! When they dive, they can flap their wings up to 200 times per second. So, in order to bring you the best impression of this stunning little bird, our team went out on an educational trip and spent countless days and nights out in the wild, trying to portray the tiny creature the best they could. Just kidding. We all went to biology class so we already knew what a hummingbird looked like. We just added our own touch. Where did the name “Colibri Flutters” come from? In Spanish, the word colibrí means hummingbird. In various cultures in Latin America, the colibrí is a symbol of strength, hope, and migration. Quite fascinating, we think. And that’s how our little birdie mold was born.

The ‘Colibri Flutters’ mold can be used with clay or resin, as well as with food decoration mediums such as chocolate or fondant. When using resin with this mold, we recommend that you apply a release agent first, for example a thin layer of cooking oil spray. When using polymer or air-dry clay with this mold, we recommend that you apply a fine layer of cornstarch, talcum powder or water on the mold before filling it with clay.

This mold is part of the Winged Beauties collection. Don’t forget to check out all related products.
