This is a beautifully detailed mold, but I’m giving it 3 stars because the individual fungi are tiny! And yes, I did read the size of the finished pattern but still wasn’t prepared for the reality of the piece. I also have Mushroom Bloom 1, 4, and 5, as well as Fairyland Mushrooms. Each of these molds has components that can easily be separated and used individually or in smaller groups. Not so here, though it might be possible to separate into halves by carefully cutting uncured clay right above the shelf fungi.
If you plan to use the entire pattern in one piece, it’s wonderful. If, like me, you want the flexibility of being able to use whole or recombine separate elements in your work, go with one of the other mushroom molds. This is the first Zuri mold I regret buying — not because of the quality, which is first rate, but because of the limitations of use in my work.
